The first League for Veiled Models in Egypt

The first League for Veiled Models in Egypt

A group of veiled Egyptian women has founded the first league of veiled models in Egypt which includes 300 members working in fashion shows, video clips, and TV commercials.

Founder of the league, yasmin Mohsen declared that models face many temptations urging them to take off veil which allegedly covers up their beauty. She strongly refuses that stressing models' commitment to work limitations, for example, directors and cameraman are not allowed to touch the models while. Photographing

She explains that the league has been established due to the rise in the number of veiled women from various classes. Hence, this segment of women and girls should be addressed in such a way compatible with their clothes, make-up, accessories, and even wedding dress.

She points out that all clothes are not banned except for the private and home clothes because women do not stay veiled at home. Moreover, home clothes highlight their women's beauty and hence they have to be showed by unveiled females.

“We managed, through the league, to educate girls how to dress elegantly, use make up properly, and wear bright and fashionable accessories," Said Yasmin.

She assured that the league's ultimate goal is to send a message to the Western world saying:" the message is that veil is elegant and that Muslim woman should care about their appearance adding that every veiled woman should be proud of herself and fully convinced that her veil never deprives her of being attractive but nakedness is by no means femininity ".
